چکیده
Study Objective To assess the postoperative likelihood of conception in patients with endometriomas managed by either CO2 laser vaporization or cystectomy. Design A retrospective study prospective recording data. Setting University hospital. Patients One hundred and forty-two symptomatic endometriomas. Interventions underwent a standardized laparoscopic stripping technique (Group 1) cyst fiber 2). wishing to become pregnant were allowed attempt spontaneous after surgery. If failed, referred for vitro fertilization (IVF). Measurements Main Results The primary objective was compare pregnancy rates between 2 groups. secondary identification independent predictors pregnancy. Thirty-nine women Group 1 (53.4%) 39 (56.5%) desired conceive Three (7.7%) became following donor-IVF excluded. Pregnancies recorded 72.2% treated cystectomy 74.3% those (p = .83). Twenty (55.6%) 14 (35.9%) conceived spontaneously .08). Among who failed conception, 21 (28%) achieved through IVF 1: n 6, 16.7%; 2: 15, 38.5%; p (26.7%) never pregnant. Age at time surgery (odds ratio (OR) 0.86; 95% Confidence intervals (CI): 0.78–0.96, .002) duration infertility (OR=0.80; CI: 0.69–0.92, .006) identified as indicators Conclusion laser-treated endometrioma is associated equal observed favorable outcomes. one step may represent viable alternative
